The Brünofix company was founded in 1905 in Leipzig, Germany. At first, mainly chemicals for the black oxidation process were developed, optimized and sold. Then the manufacture of baths as well as the production of chemicals for the phosphating process were added. After the end of the World War II the head office was moved first to Nuremberg, then to Rednitzhembach, 20 kilometers away.
Since 1970, DEWE Brünofix GmbH designes and sells complete units for chemical surface treatment and also has offered black oxidation and phosphatising processes as service in our own fully automatic treatment plants.

The production range today includes over 300 products concerned with the processes of degreasing, pickling, black oxidation, phosphating, corrosion protection and colouring agents for stainless steel, brass, copper, nickel silver and diecast zinc.

Our sister company Weiss Umformwerkzeuge (Weiss Forming Dies) GmbH, based in the same industrial site, has manufactured the casting tools for over 40 years for a worldwide customer base.
Refinishing in the fields of CNC milling, the sinking EDM and wire-cut EDM, as well as CAD/CAM programming, are also among their business activities.
